Some girls recently ran a pretty cool campaign that we thought was worth sharing. A group of them were trying to get a house rented for Mardi Gras, and most of us know that is not a cheap or an easy thing to do. So what did they do? They turned to the Tilt. 

After calling on dozens of houses only to find out they were all already taken, they finally found a house; but they had to move fast-the owner would only hold the house until the next day, and if they didn’t have the money by then they were out of luck. With only 24 hours to collect more than $2700, how could they possibly pull this off? They started a campaign and got movin!

Using the Tilt feature as an all-or-nothing tool, everyone had to commit and pay at the same time, and they had to do it fast (that night). No one had to worry about putting money down that they weren’t going to get back, and no one had to try and collect over $300 from 8 different girls on there own (we all know that doesn’t sound easy) in less than 24 hours. With the help of a campaign, everyone was able to get their money in quickly and easily, and they were able to get the deposit to the owner the next day. Now they have an awesome place to stay for Mardi Gras-it even has a pool (pictured above)!

This was a great example of a ‘flash campaign’ and it was used to do something that the Tilt is perfect for-grouping funds amongst friends to rent a house. No matter what you need to collect money for, no matter how quickly you need to do it and no matter how far apart each person is (these girls were paying from one coast to the other)-its all possible now, thanks to Crowdtilt.
